Sheryl Sandberg, Facebook COO, made this amazing observation about children/adults in America. Do you ever hear anyone say a boy is “Bossy?” Nope. That’s a term we save for out little girls. And it’s derogatory. We want women to feel empowered, so why do we tear down our little girls? With the #girlboss movement for women in America, we’ve seen a huge influx in powerful women… I wonder why we don’t focus our energy to the younger generation. I really challenge you to NOT call your daughter “bossy.” I’ve done it, I’m never doing it again! Let’s encourage this assertiveness in our little girls! I want my daughter to feel second to no one. She can be or do whatever her little heart desires. Embrace those "leadership skills!"
