Fitness is a state of mind, a state of being, and I believe that it includes more than just the way you look. The way you feel, the way you interact with family and friends, the way you treat yourself, fitness is much more than an outside appearance, it's an inside feeling.
It is well with my soul is an old hymn published by Spafford in 1876, and yet, it's archaic words are not archaic at all, it completely resonates with me. Be well, from the inside out. One verse says "When sorrows like sea billows roll; whatever my lot, Thou has taught me to say, it is well, it is well, with my soul." There was a time in my life that this was really tough for me. I just wasn't feeling well, I lost my groove. I got my groove back when I started working on my fitness, which turned into an overall confidence altogether. Fitness changed my life. I felt better on the inside and I was able to love on God and my family more than I had in the past, to be well, to embrace myself and others. I guess I can say that I didn't love myself, so I had trouble in other areas of life.
I urge you to find that beautiful balance of wellness in your life! So that when obstacles come your way, you can laugh them off and keep moving. The ultimate battle for your soul has already been won by the King, so these small obstacles are really so trivial, although they may not seem like it now. This too shall pass.
Please take a second to read my story and see if you can relate to my struggles, if I can do this, you can do this!
Priorities!
I think a lot of WELLNESS can be focused on the little, seemingly insignificant, parts of our day. They add up to something big!
Check out this post on priorities and see where you can re-focus your life to be more aligned with the priorities that actually matter to YOU!
