3 Day Refresh Review

My 3 Day Refresh Review and Results

First, I was really pleased with the presentation of the product and the amount of product that comes in the kit for such a low price! I received 6 packets of the Vanilla Fresh (lunch and dinner) shake. This shake is high in fiber and high in protein (20g) to satiate hunger. I also receive 3 packets of the Fiber Sweep drink. And I ordered the Challenge Pack so I got a 30 day supply of Shakeology, I needed 3 servings for the 3 Day Refresh. Finally, the booklet that comes in the kit is loaded with explanation, recipes, meal planning tools, and space to write out the plan for each of the 3 days, totally kept me organized and on track!





Day 1: I started my day with a glass of water as recommended. I skipped coffee, you don’t have too but it was recommended and I decided Go big or Go home! My husband kept his coffee, he works all day and needed the jolt. If you do keep coffee in your life for these three days, drink it black or with one packet of stevia. Next, I had Chocolate vegan shakeology mixed with ½ a banana. An hour later, green tea sweetened with Stevia. Then, the fiber sweep. Lunch followed an hour later, I had the Vanilla Fresh shake with a small apple and almond butter and 5 carrots. After lunch, my mid afternoon snack was red pepper and hummus. I had afternoon green tea, which I have come to really love! And then dinner, a Vanilla Fresh shake and a vegetable medley from one of nine dinner recipes in the book. Finished my day with 1 cup of vegetable broth and green tea.



Day 2 and 3 were similar, with some slight modifications. On Day 3, I was BUSY! So I mixed all my lunch into my vanilla fresh shake (shake, avocado, ½ banana, and 2 cups of spinach) fast and easy!

I did feel satisfied, for sure! My regular diet consists of about 1500 calories, and since refresh recommends taking some time off from working out, I wasn’t burning any calories, the 900 really satisfied me. On day 1, I noticed a little hunger towards the end of the day, about 9pm. I really think it was more of a craving though, as I usually have a greek yogurt snack after dinner, and I just really wanted that!



Day 2, I noticed low energy. I’m not sure if this was the food, the fact that I ditched coffee, or the lack of morning exercise which usually revs me up! I was not hungry at all.



Day 3, again, not hungry. But kinda ready for my normal food routine. I realize how addicted I am to peanut butter in my Chocolate Shakeology! YUM! Energy level was great. I even cleaned out and fully vacuumed my car, gasp!



Conclusions:

Fiber sweep: not nearly as bad as I expected it. People say “chug it!” but I’m not a chugger. I have problems chugging a 2 ounce shot, I just can’t. The fiber sweep is not gross, it’s just grainy and thick. Drink it as fast as possible and it’s fine.

Vanilla Fresh: delicious! No problems here!

Food: All good foods, great dinner recipes! Lots of variety.

Hunger: My hunger was fine. I really didn’t notice much of a difference hunger-wise. Which really surprised me! This program was much easier than I thought it would be!

Energy level: Day 1, I cleaned the whole house! Was feeling awesome! A little slower on Day 2, but not enough to bother me. I believe it was more the lack of exercise and coffee than the actual refresh foods. Day 3, energy level improved and I was feeling amazing, washed and vacuumed my car (if you know me, this is unheard of!) and spent the day shipping with my daughter and playing at the park.

Sleep: I’m pretty sure I slept better in these three days and the days following than I have in the last 3 months!

Bathroom: No! I was not in the bathroom all day. I experienced no change in bathroom habits. I know you all wanted to know!

Weight changes: I am already at my target weight, so I really did not want to lose a lot of weight. Mainly wanted to lose some bloat in my tummy. Mission accomplished. I lost 3 pounds, 1 inch off my waist, and I’m feeling great! My husband did the refresh with me, he lost 5 pounds, and he looks awesome! My best friend lost 14! Would I do it again? Absolutely! I am happy that it’s only 3 days, because I do enjoy my regular clean eating dinner routine. But I liked this experience and will do it again. Definitely recommended!
